Lets Not Make it Difficult

Personally, creating in my junk journal can sometimes overwhelm me. In fact, I USE TO get so overwhelmed I would walk away from it for a while. A loooong while. The thing is I really am passionate about being creative with all those little pieces or big pieces of paper, so for me to walk away and forget the love of crafting frustrates me even more.

What I learned is that when we are playing art in our backrooms or basements, we have to reflect back to art time in grade school. If your class did not have art time, basically we were given a box of broken chewed up crayons and some crappy paper (which I love now) and told to draw a picture or just play until we came up with something.

We weren't graded on what we created, we just needed to create something. And we did not judge each others work, as a matter of fact we usually were able to pin it up on a board outside the classroom in the hall for everyone to see. We had fun and we did not limit or put borders on our creativity! This came to me while I was struggling to make something the other day. We just need to put our kindergarten pants on and have some fun!

If your papers don't match, or you don't have some of those cute stickers, you can still create something beautiful! Draw some flowers (stick flowers are greatly welcome), and color them or paint them or use some chalk. You can even color them with pencil and just use different pressures on the pencils to make a gradient coloring. There are no boundaries to being creative...

When we feel we mess up, we need to embrace that moment as an opportunity to make something unique. Draw around that blob of ink that came off your hand on the paper and make a flower or a fire truck out of it! I recently did this and it turned out to be one of the funnest prize crafting I ever did! I LOVED IT! I am here to tell you that you can amaze yourself!

Here is a free printable I created so you can have some fun creating!
